First thing, I would like to wish everybody a Happy New Years. My name is Cpl Alexander A Hernandez U.S.M.C. and my story is much like all you’re ok I will start of when I was a kid I was born in the great 1985. Since as long as I can remember I always wanted to have a gun and go to war and we all can’t say that is not true you all know u guys wanted the same thing lol.  Two days after graduation I left to boot camp and as one things lead to the next I was with first battalion third marines in Hawaii. I know u all are think how lucky is that will it was not great lol anyways we were sent out to Fallujah Iraq in support of operation phantom fury. Will being there I was hit by a mortar round that hit me on the left side of my body I was knocked out I came back I did not know what had happen to me all I knew was that I as in the hospital with a lot of pain on my whole right side of my body after two days being there I had the choose to go back to Hawaii or to return to the fight and it was a hard choose I went back to the fight after like two months we had taking over Fallijah and were ready to come home, after getting back we were told to get ready because we had to go to Afghanistan to hand it over to the army. In Aug of 2007 I EAS (end of active service) out of the marine. After being back home I started to notice I was not the same person anymore I was always mad and just wanted to be left alone in Dec 2009 I had lost my job because they said I was always forgetting thing so in January of 2010 the VA told me I had PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and TBI(Traumatic brain injury) from being hit in Iraq. Thanks to  the foundation I was able to get me a roof over my head and have bread to eat…
