I was a fire team leader E5 with Bravo Company 2nd Battalion 508 Parachute Infantry Regiment with the 82nd Airborne Division. I was deployed for 15 months to the Ghazni Provence of Afghanistan. I suffer from severe PTSD, TBI, Sleep apnea, and many other chronic problems stemming from being deployed.
I have serious issues making friends, but I have to say that I have been accepted by this foundation with open arms. I haven’t felt accepted by anyone in a long time and for that I thank you as well. The fact that this foundation exists to help struggling disabled vets puts a smile on my face just knowing there are still good people in this world. I was referred to this group by my case worker at The VA medical center in Long Beach. I am going through some tough times right now and they said this organization could possibly help. And it most certainly does help. I actually feel as though I have friends again. I can’t even put a price on that.
I want all of you to know that I am available to talk day or night if you need someone to reach out to. My number is 614-593-5140. We need to stick together to get through the hard times.
Please stay strong as I will do my best to do also. Just know that you are never alone. It took me a very long time to realize that myself. I look forward to getting to know all of you. I am truly blessed to have found such a wonderful group. Thank you again.
