Fellow Brothers and Sisters
First I would like to thank you for accepting me into this organization it is an honor for me to be a part of something like this. My name is Antonio Garcia Marine Corps Vet I served with 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines Headquarters Company Motor Transport platoon from 2003 to 2007. My Unit was deployed to Afghanistan in late 04-05 and Iraq in 2006. I had many good memories with my brothers but unfortunately memories that I have to learn to deal with because I lost so many that were close to me.

Like some of you it took some time for me to adjust to regular civilian life. It took some life changing experience for me to see that I wasn’t the same person. The day I saw my daughter born was the most magical day in my life. To see something so beautiful that I created it made me rethink where my life was heading, but yet it wasn’t enough for me to get the help I really needed. It took a trip to the hospital my daughter was sick and my girlfriend and I were fighting over something stupid. My temper was beyond control I felt like jumping out of the car. When the car finally stopped I got out and I left my daughter and my girlfriend in the hospital. A few minutes later I get a call and all I can hear is my daughter screaming and crying for me I was heartbroken. After a long conversation with my father he knew I needed help and made me recognize that I have issues and it would be the best thing for my family and me.
