2015 started out with the biggest turnout to date at El Cholo Restaurant. It was hard to find a seat. We had lots of new vets join us, some traveled hours just to break a little with bread with us. Our monthly dinner get-together to us represents the time when we can all come, hang out, bring the kids and have some R & R. Nothing too heavy just a fun time with the extended family. It’s very difficult to quantify what therapeutic value that has but we believe it’s huge. We often talk about that the resources that are necessary to improve the lives of our wounded veterans are in the community. Ron Salisbury owner of El Cholo Restaurant is one of those examples of a businessman stepping up and helping our effort. Nothing that we do has the impact that this social environment has. A place where the Vets and their families come together periodically as individual as well as a group has tremendous therapeutic value. Ron and his staff at El Cholo have provided that opportunity every month for years. These get-together are what makes our foundation different from others, and we have friends like El Cholo Restaurant chain and it’s owner Ron Salisbury to accomplished just that.
